Happy St Davids Day

As a child in South Wales, we always looked forward to this day!  We always had an eisteddfod where there were singing, dancing and poetry competitions and best of all half day off school!!
Hence the significance of the running chicken with the daffodil, the national flower of Wales!!

I have just linked this post to a small blog link with Lilys quilts, so hopefully lots of visitors to wish a Happy St Davids Day!!

  1. And back to you - married to a Welshman so don't forget to wear a leek - we evens sent the kids to school once with leeks attached to their school jumpers - the other kids didn't have a clue why! Your custom quilting looks beautiful BTW.
