I have had a very busy few weeks and in all the six years of being in business as a longarm quilter, I have always felt so very blessed to be doing what I love. My customers often send me lovely letters and emails and I always try my hardest to do a really good job for them.
The other day however, I had a very strange encounter with an unhappy lady......the quilt I had quilted was not to her liking and the pieced backing was not centred (she had not asked for it to be centred) but it was over a month before she brought it back to me and she had sewn and completed the binding! It actually looked really good too..... but the complaint brought very personal abuse and she was VERY rude!! Oh dear...not nice at all.
So this week I have felt a little battered and bruised!! Now I know that I am not perfect but I haven't come across any really unpleasant quilter and it has quite shaken me!
Move on eh?........with a touch of sadness!

Lovely fabrics....
I have been taking some photos of my fabric bundles when the sunshine has appeared!! Not often, at the moment!!! They always look so lovely when the colours are combined!!
We are in the process of updating my website so we can sell online...but it is taking a little time to set it all up!! Mr Zach is happy to wait and watch all the activity...

Where did I go....?
Well, its been some time since I last blogged! I have been snowed under with quilting, which is wonderful, but very time consuming.....but I am so lucky to be allowed to work with such beautiful pieces..
And then more...
I have a monster sized one on there at the moment too which hopefully will be completed today! I am then going to catch up on edge to edge work.
Meanwhile, I have had a birthday, and how lucky am I....I have a new Macro lens for my camera! I had seen some beautiful photography on Nicola's site Stitching By A Cornish Seashore and her close up shots which were lovely and it inspired me! however, I do have a lot to learn..
But I am enjoining it so much...And as well as this, I am in the process of hand quilting a mini quilt
Life is VERY busy just now. And finally, to all the ladies who joined my Lemoyne star group a couple of weeks ago, a big thank you for coming!! I hope you have been cutting and piecing those lovely stars and having fun with your new rulers. Now, back to that monster quilt......

A mini quilt ...or two....
I received a mini quilt in the post all the way from California....it arrived on Friday, wrapped in tissue paper and tied with bow. Beautiful...
What was inside the parcel was even more lovely.....
Look at the tiny pieces...
It came from Lynette in California, so thank you so much Lynette, I am really delighted with this lovely quilt which must have taken ages to sew.
I have recently designed a tiny quilt to put on my webshop....
Great fun and quick to make!!
And finally, I hope all you mums out there enjoyed a good Mothers Day! It happened to coincide with Mr RC's birthday, so a good day was had by all!

A blog award
Well, I have been given my first blog award!!
Marjolein (Betty) from bettyvanos.blogspot.com was kind enough to give me this award, so thank you so much Betty!! My first award and I feel very special!
There are rules to applying this award, yes, of course; and they are:
- Thank the person who gave you the award.
- Link back to their blog.
- Copy and paste the Liebster award to your profile.
- Pick 5 blogs that you feel deserve to be in the spotlight (they must have under 200 followers).
- Blog about it and leave a comment for your nominations to let them know that you have chosen their blog.
So in the next couple of days, I am delighted to pass the award on!!
Meanwhile, I had a photo sent to me from one of my customers after she had bound her quilt ready to present it to her 90 year old Dad....it looks really lovely!
I am sure that her Dad will be so very pleased!

Quilt complete and lots of new comments
Well, having decided to leap into blogland and link up with the Small blog meet with Lilysquilts I have had lots of new comments which make for a very happy running chicken!! Always nice to chat with fellow quilters and sewers, so thank you Lynne for organising this.
Yesterday, a quilt for Cupcake Cottons shop was completed and despatched. Just had a call from them to say that it has arrived and they LOVE it!!! It was lovely to quilt and thank you ladies for sending it to me! Enjoy your cake this afternoon!
The quilt was done using a combination of computer aided designs and freehand work.
