A visit, a challenge and new photos....

Last week saw me visiting Village Green Quilters in Yateley.  Car all loaded up with yummy fabrics and bits and pieces.
The journey was not good as the roads were unlit and wiggly!  However, a fun evening and lots of lovely people to meet.  Thanks to all for their hospitality and cups of tea!!

I have been 'restoring' a wonderful quilt for one of my customers lately and it has proved to be such an exciting task, all be it a challenge to complete and quilt.  Made from little girls dresses from 1960s and sewn in log cabin blocks....absolutely lovely.  I do hope M's mum loves it!!!
Take a look...

The colours on this quilt are superb.  I quilted it with a baptist fan pattern and bound it with striped navy and white cotton.  The backing fabrics are blue and white spots with a strip of white with red spots.

Today, the woollies have been for a walk in the woods and it is now time to get on with an ever increasing pile of quilts massing up in the studio!  I have decided that exercise is really necessary these days in order to cure the baggy face I seem to have acquired in photos!!  When did that happen??  I'm sure last time I looked I was still just a young'un!!!!  Hey ho!!!
